I did not believe in REIKI initially. I thought of it as a gimmick or trick. But on insistence of my wife I approached Madhu, a Reiki Practitioner when I had severe pain. When Madhu did Reiki I could feel some energy flow from her hands to my body.
I remember an instance when I had severe stomach ache and was throwing up couple of times, I approached Madhu. Where she kept her hands on my stomach it became hot, and I slept like a kid after 25-30 minutes of Reiki, and pain was gone.
Similar thing happened when I had severe pain when I twisted my ankle while playing tennis. Some times it requires few sittings if it’s a chronic pain.

I had acute pain in my lower back and right knee and was unbearable. At times I could not move my leg. I learnt about Madhu performing Reiki. She treated me by "laying on hands" on the area which had pain concentration. During the treatment it seemed that there was some energy that flew generating heat. Soon after the treatment the pain vanished completely. The pain did return after a while, but the intensity was much lower. After about 4 sittings I feel my pain is 50% less and severe attacks of pain have not occurred. I feel if I continue there is a possibility of complete cure.
Further Madhu concentrates and practices with high sincerity. There is no medication to take and hence no side effects. I can say that Reiki performed by Madhu does promote healing.

I first became interested in Reiki in the Fall of 2008. I was surprised to find an article in the local newspaper, The Examiner, about Madhu Sehgal at around the very same time. After reading the article I also read quite a bit about Reiki online. It wasn't long before I had my first Reiki treatment in early January and met Madhu Sehgal. She is truly a kind and gentle person. I wasn't sure what to expect but I discovered that I felt wonderful. Reiki is so relaxing and gives me a feeling of well-being. It fills me with calmness. I feel less stressed. I have more restful sleep and more energy. I believe there is a strong mind/body connection and Reiki pulls this together for me. I continue to enjoy Reiki treatments and have made this a part of my life.

Reiki is a technique in which I have been interested for many years. Pain in my right hip, a lack of enrergy plus a few minor complaints brought me to Madhu. With the first session, my hip pain eased considerably, the minor complaints disappeared and my energy level increased. I felt wonderful! Madhu taught me breathing exercises to help increase my energy level even more. I knew Reiki would help me, however I was amazed at how much and how quickly. I was totally devastated emotionally when breast cancer hit me June 2011. I even felt my life was over & perhaps I would never come out of this darkness that had engulfed me.
